2024 Northeast Houndsmen Seminar

It is that time of year again as we the Northeast Houndsmen are underway preparing another year of training for you and your K-9 partner. The seminar dates are as follows:

September 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19th

MUST BE registered and paid in full ($425) by August 25, 2024.

Closing ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 2 pm. At this time, certificates will be handed out and a wrap up meeting will be held. Anyone not registered and paid in full prior to August 25, 2024 will not be allowed to participate.

The 2024 Fall Seminar will focus on search with utility vehicles, tactical and basic man-trailing within both urban and wilderness areas, scent discrimination, scent articles, missing member, motor vehicle involvement and bailouts, negative trails, non-traditional trails, perimeter setup and night training. Itinerary will be posted at Northeast Houndsmen Facebook page. There will be a supper with cash bar at our annual fundraiser, included with registration.

On Wednesday evening, September 18, 2024, we will be providing a dinner for you at the Ellinwood Country Club 1928 Pleasant Street, Athol, MA 01331

Additional meal tickets can be purchased for guests @ $25.00 ea.

All additional tickets must be purchased and paid in full on or before September 8, 2024 to allow the caterer a meal count.

Buffet style meal will include: Antipasto, Italian Meatballs, Italian Sweet Sausage with peppers and onions, Baked Ziti, garlic bread and coffee.

Anyone that would like to donate something to the auction or raffle is more than welcome.

Hotel Reservations:

We have secured a block of rooms under the Northeast Houndsmen at the Colonial Hotel, 625 Betty Spring Rd., Gardner, MA, (978) 630-2500.

It is the handler’s responsibility to pay for your room. When registering please let them know you are registering under the block of rooms set aside for the Northeast Houndsmen.

Hotel block will close August 15th.
